Hello, my name is Stephanie (you can call me Steph). Thank you for visiting my blog 🙂

When I was just beginning to learn Japanese several years ago, I struggled to find resources that were both fun and appropriate for my level. Nowadays, it is easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of content online about how to study Japanese. A lot of this content focuses on super intensive study routines with the aim of becoming ‘fluent’ in 6 months or 1 year. Other resources are great but require an expensive purchase or subscription.

My blog focuses on:

• Japanese language learning resources I come across and how I use them to study.
• Answering common questions about Japanese study
• Finding Japanese TV shows, films, manga and novels that are fun and learner-friendly

I started this blog to help people who are learning the language, no matter where they are on their language learning journey or their budget. Everyone’s journey will be unique, but I believe that you can learn Japanese through consistent effort and through finding the right materials to stay motivated with. After living in Japan, I took a break from Japanese study for a couple of years and so I am rediscovering a lot of the resources which have helped me on my own journey.
